Process

This was a challenge for a restaurant — so I was able to have some fun with the visuals. I wasn't limited by an existing brand or guidelines. The brand is based on a powerful, primary colour palette.

The logo is based on a formally current and contemporary typeface, which seeks to express joy, through a fun and optimistic stroke. This is developed with the typographic fusion of Walibi-Holland Bold and Titan One Regular, to generate dynamic and rounded contours, while maintaining a thick body.

Its animated form refers to the relationship of a Japanese girl and her hat that simulates a fish, thus forming a single character. Its morphology has a circular configuration in order to refer to the Japanese flag. In addition, it expresses the objective of the brand in a playful and jovial way.It is inspired by the aesthetics of animated characters and Japanese brands, taking figurative relationships of well-known characters such as Hello Kitty, Pucca and Pokoyo.

Bright and strong colors, representative of Japanese culture. Different saturations are handled without losing the provocative sensations. Its colors are associated with good energy and happiness, with healthy nutrition and appetite stimulation. They produce an invigorating effect and mental stimulation, very suitable for young people. For which it can be seen more easily because it quickly captures the attention of the receiver.

Outcome

Wok N´Roll its an actual fast food restaurant in Bogotá, Colombia — they continue offering wok and sushi food in one city local.
